Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana 2026-27

Department of Education, Government of Bihar

Details

The Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana is an ambitious initiative by the Government of Bihar aimed at empowering girls through education and financial assistance. For the 2026-27 session, the scheme continues to provide a massive boost to female literacy, combat female infanticide, and discourage child marriage.

Under this scheme, financial aid is provided in installments from the birth of a girl child until she completes her graduation. This specific portal and status check apply primarily to the Intermediate (12th Pass) and Graduation passing milestones.

Benefits

For the academic year 2026-27, eligible female students will receive direct financial assistance transferred to their Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer):

  • Mukhyamantri Balika (Intermediate) Protsahan Yojana: A one-time grant of ₹25,000 for unmarried girls who have successfully cleared their Class 12th board exams.
  • Mukhyamantri Balika (Snatak) Protsahan Yojana: A one-time grant of ₹50,000 for girls (married or unmarried) who have completed their Graduation degree.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident/domicile of Bihar state.
  • For the ₹25,000 scheme: The girl must have passed the Intermediate (12th) examination from the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) and must be unmarried at the time of application.
